Italian giants are in crisis after the majority of their board including president Andre Agnelli resigned on Monday evening. The club announced that the chairman, Pavel Nedved and Federico Cherubini have left their positions with immediate effect, rocking the Old Lady just a month before the January transfer window opens. After a board meeting, only CEO Maurizio Arrivabene was the only senior official to remain with the club as has called for severe sanctions including banishment from the . There is a possibility that a new board won’t be appointed until mid-January, as it is unclear who will be in charge of football decisions and with potentially severe sanctions awaiting, Juventus may look to clubs as a way to provide a cash injection by selling several stars. Here, Express Sport looks at five players that could leave for English sides.

Manchester United

As outfit looks to bolster their firepower following the termination of contract, striker Dusan Vlahovic could be on their radar as a budget option. The Serbian turned down interest from to move to Juventus for £62million, but following a mixed spell in Turin could have a much lower value should look to replace Ronaldo with Vlahovic.

Adrien Rabiot was close to a move to Old Trafford in the summer as Ten Hag reinforced his midfield options with Casemiro and Christian Eriksen, and could also be a cut-price option in January. The French ace’s contract in Italy expires at the end of the season, but should Juventus wish to cash in on the midfielder then their final chance would be in January.

As contract winds down and expires at the end of the season, there have been reports that Ten Hag wants a goalkeeper more adept with his feet and will look for a new stopper in the summer. Wojciech Szczesny has shown at the World Cup that he remains one of the top goalkeepers in the world, and with his deal ending in 2024 he could provide an option for the Dutch boss.

Arsenal

side sit top of the Premier League table, five points clear of second-placed as the Gunners have had a stunning start to the campaign. Whether Arsenal will be able to keep pace with outfit remains to be seen, but if they want to compete until the end of the season they may need to address their strength in depth.

The Spanish boss has rarely changed his side outside of injury or suspension, but their midfield was exposed when Thomas Partey missed a spell earlier in the year. Manuel Locatelli could provide that strong option to compete with Partey and Granit Xhaka, and there has been previous interest after Euro 2020. He is on a two-year loan from Sassuolo with an obligation to buy for £30m, but Juventus could offload him if their financial woes continue.

As offensive woes continue from reign into time in charge, the ex- man may look at Federico Chiesa. He has made just two appearances in this season due to injury, but has impressed in the past and could operate on the right flank.

Hakim Ziyech and Christian Pulisic may be set to leave Stamford Bridge, potentially opening up a spot at the club for an incoming forward.

Injury to Reece James has exposed the Blues’ lack of cover at right wing-back, as Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Cesar Azpilicueta and even have filled in during his absence. Danilo impressed during Brazil’s opening World Cup win over Serbia and the full-back may provide a solid rotation option for Potter, who would be impressed by his ability to play in multiple positions.
