Arsenal recently had a £60million bid rejected by Brighton, opening the door for other clubs to enter the fray. The Gunners remain the favourites to sign the in-demand midfielder, but Chelsea and Liverpool have also been linked with him.

Everton are also set to appoint Sean Dyche as their next manager with the former Burnley boss expected to be given funds in the final days of the transfer window. Express Sport is on hand for all the latest transfer gossip throughout the day...

Saha tips Man Utd to win league with Kane

Manchester United hero Louis Saha believes that his former side are “guaranteed” to win the Premier League next season if they sign Harry Kane over the summer. The striker is yet to pen a new deal at Tottenham despite speculation that he is willing to extend his stay in north London.

“If Harry Kane goes to Manchester United, then I can guarantee that he’s going to win the Premier League,” Saha said. “With Manchester United’s current set-up and their approach to games tactically, then having a forward that can come into that team and score you 25 goals a season will be the last piece of the puzzle. You need somebody who can do the big job and the big job is to score 25 to 30 goals.”

Mudryk's Chelsea team-mate makes exciting comment

Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile has given an exciting verdict on fellow new signing Mykhaylo Mudryk. Blues fans were given a glimpse of what the Ukraine winger could bring to their side in the draw at Liverpool last weekend.

Badiashile told Capital Football: “He's a terrific player but only the future will tell us if he can turn into a big star. But for sure he has the talent to become just that.”

Arsenal 'growing in confidence' over Rice transfer

Arsenal continue to grow in confidence that they will sign Declan Rice in the summer, according to The Telegraph.

Rice is out of contract at the London Stadium in 2024. However, the Hammers do have the option to extend his deal by a further year. West Ham still may be forced to sell this summer in order to get a sizable fee for the 24-year-old.

Arsenal are confident they can win the race to Rice's signature. And the report says the Premier League leaders' pursuit of Brighton star Moises Caicedo will have no impact on whether they go after Rice or not in the summer.

Arsenal issue response to Caicedo social media post

Arsenal have made it categorically clear they had nothing to do with Moises Caicedo's social media posts on Friday, according to football.london. The Brighton midfielder posted to Instagram to demand he was allowed to leave the club, but the Gunners say they were not behind the message.

Caicedo is one of the most sought-after midfielders in the Premier League, with Arsenal said to have made an improved bid of £60million plus add-ons for the player.

Leicester to sign Tete

Leicester are closing in on forward Tete, who has passed a medical ahead of a move to the King Power Stadium.

Tete cancelled his contract with Shakhtar Donetsk after FIFA changed their rules due to the conflict in Ukraine.

Anthony Gordon spotted

An announcement from Newcastle that they've signed Anthony Gordon could come at any minute.

And the winger was spotted in the north east earlier for his medical...

Arsenal make new Caicedo bid

Arsenal have made a new and improved second bid for Brighton's Moises Caicedo, according to reports.

The Daily Mail claims the second offer is £60million with a further £10m in add-ons. However, Brighton are likely to reject it again as they want £80m.

The Gunners have already had a £60m offer rejected by the Seagulls, who also turned down £55m from Chelsea for the Ecuador international.

Brighton are desperate to keep hold of Caicedo until the summer at least. The club have told the player not to return to the training ground until after the transfer window has closed after he went public with a desire to leave.

Harrison 'not itching to leave' Leeds

Jesse Marsch insists he wants Jack Harrison to stay at Leeds after Leicester City made a £20million bid for the winger.

Harrison scored in today's 3-1 FA Cup win at Accrington Stanley but his future at Elland Road is unclear with just a year-and-a-half left on his contract.

But Marsch said: "All I will say is that I really like Jack, firstly as a person, one of the most incredible people I’ve ever coached.

"We like him here, we want to keep him and he’s performing really well. Getting him fit and healthy has been key. He has flexibility in the way he plays. With all the things circulating I was happy he was so clear and sharp.

"I tried to have an open dialogue with him - we have that kind of relationship. But he does like it here – he’s not itching to leave."

Caicedo's agents still pushing

Amid interest from both Chelsea and Arsenal, Moises Caicedo's agents are said to still be pushing for a way out of Brighton before 11pm on Tuesday.

The Seagulls are opposed to a sale and per the Independent have set a £90million price tag on the Ecuadorian midfielder.

Caicedo has been the subject of rejected £55m and £60m bids from Chelsea and Arsenal respectively, and the pair will have to significantly up their offers to tempt Brighton into business.

Zaniolo update

Roma boss Jose Mourinho has indicated he's happy to sell Nicolo Zaniolo this month, although the attacker has rejected Bournemouth.

An agreement was reached between Roma and the Cherries but the Italian opted against the move.

And Mourinho has said: "It seems I was right on the Nicoló Zaniolo situation — so I see him staying. I want players who are happy at Roma but he’s asking to leave the club for months.

"For me it is simply saying that Nicolo is not available to the team, the focus now is on the next match and as a coach who wants to fight with me for this club and these fans. Nicolo is not part of the project."

Ben Brereton Diaz agrees move

Premier League clubs have been scrambling for the signature of Blackburn star Ben Brereton Diaz, but Villarreal have won the race to pick him up as a free agent.

Diaz is out of contract in the summer and had been tipped for a move to a Premier League side this month.

Blackburn were standing firm in not wanting to sell this month, but that has allowed Diaz to speak with foreign clubs about a move this summer.

And transfer expert Fabrizio Romano now claims a 'full agreement' is in place for Diaz to join Villarreal this summer.

Caicedo leaning towards Arsenal

The London transfer battle between Chelsea and Arsenal for Moises Caicedo is set to heat up in the coming days.

According to Birmingham World, Caicedo was originally happy to wait until the summer and move to Chelsea.

But that has all changed over the past 24 hours due to Arsenal's transfer interest with Caicedo said to be extremely tempted by joining a team challenging for the Premier League title immediately.

The 21-year-old now has an 'urgent desire' to leave, although Brighton are not willing to drop their asking price.

Caicedo no show

It's a growing trend in football. Bid rejected - transfer request - skip training.

Moises Caicedo has not shown up for Brighton training this morning after posting a come-and-get-me plea on social media on Friday.

Brighton are still asking for a huge increase from the £60million bid from Arsenal that was rejected.

And the south coast club supposedly don't want Caicedo around the club until after the transfer window while the saga rolls on.

Mourinho return to Chelsea

Jose Mourinho is reportedly keen on another return to the Premier League with a third stint at Chelsea his 'ideal scenario'.

According to the Daily Mail, Mourinho has grown frustrated at Roma for a perceived lack of financial support in the transfer market.

It's said that Mourinho would consider a return to Stamford Bridge should Graham Potter be sacked by Todd Boehly.

Maddison is looking increasingly unlikely to sign a new contract at Leicester, leading to speculation he could seek a move away in the near future.

Leicester have fended off interest so far this month, but Newcastle have continued to be linked with a move.

And the Independent now claim Leicester haven't ruled out selling Maddison if the right offer comes in.

Chelsea's £79m investment

Chelsea may have been making waves in the January market to bolster Graham Potter's squad now, but they've already got two new arrivals coming at the end of the season as well.

A deal for Malo Gusto has been agreed with Lyon for the full-back to join in the summer with Christopher Nkunku also set to leave RB Leipzig for Stamford Bridge.

The pair are set to cost Chelsea £79million with Todd Boehly's spending showing no signs of stopping.

And there's still time left in the January transfer window for even more deals...
